A quick catch-up, early October

Welcome to this new number of A Week in VT, the weekly-but-also-sometimes-fortnightly blog that tries to cover VTubers.

Unfortunately, I'm still not doing so well and I'm under quite a lot of pressure from work and other projects.

But at least I've gathered a list of news that you should look into!
I would have loved to dig a bit on what is happening at V4Mirai, because it's weird that one major event just didn't happen because of contractual issues, and right after we learn that one other talent just goes on indefinite hiatus.

So here's some short news…

(Re)Debuts
(doesn't include active talents getting new models)

• While Specialite EN closed, their main branch debuted their 4th Generation on 9/23: Onino Meru [鬼ノめる], Yumemi Mumu [夢見むむ], Kamitaba Neruko [紙束ねるこ], and Magomori Magomo [孫守まごも].
• Meridian Project, which is apparently the biggest Taiwanese agency, debuted their new unit "Teraz" between 10/3 and 10/6, with Sachi, Koyuki, Hiyori and Hitomi.
• Venture Trade is adopting LobotomyBunny, Hammy Hamstrudel, and Sawa Grape as of 10/5.
• Indie Lucky Lemonade is now Lucky Lemonshark and officially debuts on 10/17 with a charity donothon. (@LuckyLemonshark)
• Phase Connect is teasing a new gen, Phase Saga. They should debut later this month. (@PhaseConnect)
• NynChord Production is a new small VSinger JP corpo, and they're introducing Hisho Mone and VIER. I have no idea when they're releasing their first piece of content. (@NynChord_pro)

New indie groups and members

• VBimbo is formed with four indies who have "a desire to make YOU happy": Grimmy, Tora (Mewarebytes), Lunaerys, and Ravenna. (@VBimboOfficial)
• And after large bimbos (👀), let's talk about small perverts (😭). PurVose is a collective of indies that was introduced on 10/5. Members include Prissy Pandawa, Shib-san, Raxxie, and Pemmy. (@Purvose_net)
• Vershion is teasing a new member for their Australian collective, with further information on 10/12. (@VershionVT)

Graduations / Terminations / Leaving corpo

• Hiodoshi Ao of hololive DEV_IS graduated on 10/3, the same day of the announcement. No graduation stream, but the rest of her group sang a cover of "Goodbye, see you someday!" for her. (@hololive_EN / YouTube)
• Artemis of Mythos graduated on 10/5. (@ArtemisMythosVT)
• Dhalia Grim leaves Iriam on 10/9 and will continue as an indie as Edda Hengist. (@edda_vt)
• VSPO! China (owned by Brave Group) is closing down on 10/15… Or more like all their talents are now moving under MUGEN LIVE, which is operating under Brave Group China. Did they really need to merge them? (Bilibili post)
• Serina Fraize is graduating from DAY/BREAK, a small group from the Philippines, on 10/16. (@DAYBREAK_twt)
• VEE's Cotonoha will be graduating on 2/22/2026. Yep, that's a 5-months notice. (@TwiCoto)

Original Music

• Bao The Whale and Ririsya, both indies, released "Pixel Lover". (YouTube)
• Daiya Fortuna released her first original song "FortuNight". (YouTube)
• Takane Lui of hololive released a MV for "DARE!?", and her second album "Lapis Lazuli" is now available for pre-purchase on CD, to be released on 12/3. (YouTube / Album on holoShop)
• Shiranui Flare of hololive released the MV for one of her original songs, "Funfair". That song debuted back in February, but better late than never! (YouTube)
• Inugami Korone of hololive released her original song "MafiosA" with an amazing animated MV. (YouTube)
• miComet (Sakura Miko x Hoshimachi Suisei, both of hololive) released "Lollipop". (YouTube)
• Shirakami Fubuki of hololive released "Meikai Halloween Night!", MV to come later. (YouTube)

In general

• Ironmouse is doing a live 3D concert with friends (as of writing, we know 12 of them) titled "Club Ironmouse", which will be held at the Parq Nightclub in San Diego (California) on 11/16. IRL tickets are sold out, but you can buy streaming tickets. (YouTube promo / PPV Tickets)
• Another Small VTuber Awards, this time by BigPapaLemon, is opening its votes on 11/15. Yep, there's two "Small" awards because of course it's all small bubbles. (@BigPapaLemon)
• GX Aura will be voicing the shopkeeper in the upcoming "Kuloniku" game. (@GXAuraOfficial / Steam page)
• Mint Fantôme held her 3D live concert on 10/1 (and you should watch it), but one big surprise was the presence of Victoria Roman, who is the 3rd member of the unit she wanted to debut under VShojo Idols (but she still hasn't debuted). (YouTube Timestamp)
• Kou Mariya's 3D debut and anniversary stream didn't happen on 10/3, with an announcement made on 10/5 on V4Mirai's Twitter, notifying that there might be issues with her contract between her and the company. (@V4Mirai)
• 8 hours later, V4Mirai announced that Alias Anono is going on indefinite hiatus. (@V4Mirai)
