Da Wose to leave NIJISANJI, Filian in more trouble, and BEASTIEZ

Already one more graduation from Niji? Things are moving again…

I've been heavily sick lately, but let's try to make at least a small post about the past 2-3 weeks.

There's been a few things, including some small dumb drama from the hololive Justice's 3D debut, more precisely with Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame's, or that the fishman president of Phase Connect, H2oSakana, was banned from Azure Lane back in 2018 for cheating (with at least Tenma, Jelly, and Uruka dunking on him for it). But that's not worth expending here.

Anyway, let's start with graduations, as it seems to be mostly what I've been writing about (even though I want to cover other things more).

EDIT: I knew I was forgetting something, but it only came to me a couple of minutes after I laid down. Globie, an European agency part of Brave Group, announced that five of their talents were graduating. I'll come back to that next time, promise!

Rosemi Lovelock to leave NIJISANJI

Right before she could announce it herself, NIJISANJI shared on August 12th, 2024, at 8:02 PM PDT that Rosemi Lovelock, of their second NIJISANJI EN wave "OBSYDIA", will be graduating on August 29th, 2025 (JST).

"After 29th August, 2025 (JST), Rosemi Lovelock will cease all her Liver activities."

While her social media accounts will be locked, her public content will remain available on her YouTube channel (but membership VODs will be lost).

The OBSYDIA group will be left with only Petra Gurin as its last member.
She currently is on an extended hiatus since December 2nd, 2024, to focus on her studies as she's currently a full-time student.
It wouldn't be crazy to think Petra might regroup with the two remaining members of the third wave, Ethyria, as she's part of a sub-unit called "Zuttomo" with its two surviving members. (Reimu Endou, who was also part of that wave and unit, graduated last week.)

Filian dropped by the VTA's production team and Mythic Talent

Well this one is quite political.

On August 5th, WePlay Studios released a statement stating that it will no longer be producing Filian's VTuber Awards, citing their policy of terminating all collaborations with individuals and entities from Russia and Belarus. For context, this company is from Ukraine, a country currently at war with Russia.

"WePlay Studios is discontinuing its work on the VTuber Awards and will no longer be involved in its production."

The mention in their reasoning, after "reevaluating [their] involvement":

This decision follows action taken by the event’s host and founder – cooperation with russian community, which is not aligned with our values and position.

"Cooperation with russian community"? This seems to come from a live collab with Smug Alana (US-based VTuber, child of a Russian father and Ukrainian mother) and Trixie Vox (Christina Sherman), a Russian voice actress.
Things were probably even more cemented when Filian was asked to say "goida" during the collab, which is a battle cry from Russian ultra-nationalists.

This situation was then quickly taken advantage of in Russia, and Trixie was invited to join one of Russia's biggest propagandist live shows, alongside another supporter of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, to discuss VTubers, WePlay, and the situation surrounding the VTA. Filian being used as ammunition for propaganda and supporting Russia in the war is currently proving WePlay's decision and reasoning.

And whether this is linked to it, a few people noticed something: Filian appears to no longer be part of Mythic Talent, as she updated her Twitter profile to remove the contact email pointing to them (+ her "Vtuber in Training" in her name), and she can't be found anymore on Mythic's website. So far, I haven't found any statement from either party on this. Here's a snapshot of her profile in late-June.

It might be possible that there were issues for a while before this whole WePlay situation, if we look at how silent the company has been about Filian and not mentioning her for months, with a quick appearance in a GIF for Valentine's Day and a clearer appearance in a post from mid-December 2024. But this could have been the last straw.

This only adds one more controversy to Filian, after already having issues with how she was licensing her model without permission.
While not mentioning any of this, she is still streaming and doing collabs like nothing happened.

The lost group from VShojo picks a name, and Tori Oriane debuts

Here's something positive for once.

PiaPi, Beri and Tori have decided on a name for their group: "BEASTIEZ".

"Please support BEASTIEZ!!!"

There's also a dedicated Twitter account that shows a business email, a logo, and a bio with links to each profile. They're also teasing with the number of hearts in the logo and the list in the bio that, maybe, the missing fourth member could appear in the future: @TheBEASTIEZ

For Tori Oriane, she was accepted into Twitch's Partner Program and officially debuted (like it would have been planned if VShojo were not fucking around) on August 23rd.

"excited for this next chapter of my life and hope you'll join me to celebrate"

Here's a few random clips:

Closing words

And that's it for this week!

What? "Where's the featured chuuba of the week?" (Nobody asked.)
Let's consider that last part with Tori Oriane like if it was a feature, okay?

Anyway, I'm hitting the bed again in hopes I'm feeling better for work tomorrow. See ya!
