MTD's position in VShojo, Globie departures

Hello and welcome to this Week in VT.
August and September are full of IRL events with conventions and concerts, which I unfortunately don't really cover because I have a job and can't just travel and provide something insightful for this blog. Sorry.
Anyway, let's go back to a bit of VShojo news since MTD sent something, and I'll come back to a news item I missed writing about last week, but at least it spared me from having to add an addendum to it.
You shouldn’t take anything posted here as your only source.
MowtenDoo talks a bit about his position at VShojo
"MTD" shared a Google Doc on August 26th, 2025, at 8:13PM PDT.
Lets talk about my time at VShojo.https://t.co/aUhev9uXBL

(Archives: Main document, "Stock Plan Adoption - Board Consent")
Extracting the major points, all according to him:
- He didn't have access to finances; he only asked to get a budget for his work which would get approved or not. Only the CEO (Gunrun), COO (Apek), and the finance department had.
- He had the title of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), then was later replaced by someone else and moved to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). But for him those were more "internal" titles and didn't have actual value.
- Despite being one of the founding staff members, he was not part of the board.
- He shares that there was a merger in the works in 2024 that failed. He also posted some legal documents to prove he wasn't part of it and only Gunrun and Apek would get a golden parachute from this.
- He had his position removed as a cost-cutting measure with four other staff members but was asked to make it look neutral to not raise speculations.
- He wasn't able to talk one-on-one with Gunrun for over a year, and Gunrun would regularly just put someone else in between for communications.
- He says that he knew the company's finances were in a bad position and was expecting at this point either it would go bankrupt or sell itself, but he didn't know talent expenses were mixed with operational costs.
He doesn't address, though, many of the current allegations against his behavior around other people from the industry who spoke up and how he talked about previous talents, other than hinting that he could go after people for "defamation":
I also have to consider action against those that have engaged in defamation against my character, although I am hopeful that we can resolve those matters privately and amicably.
I'm not sure if sending this threat is a good idea while there are some serious call-outs. But it might actually work on putting people in fear to not talk more about their interactions with MTD, especially since it's now public that there's a victim that still hasn't spoken up.
Not like suing anyone would improve his reputation, now.
Looking at the reactions, which are all in quote posts since he locked down the replies ("let's talk", huh?), people noted that he deleted his "nah bro, what the ABSOLUTE FUCK??? @theGunrun" (4TA archive, archive.today, original link).
But also those documents he's showing? Yeah it doesn't actually require him to be part of it, so it's not like he wasn't considered part of the company as a C-suite.
From what was shared, he wanted to make sure no drama was coming with VShojo to debut his new project, but I think he just dug his hole deeper by posting this instead of keeping it private and handling all of that with lawyers.
Five Globie talents to graduate
Five members of Globie, a European-centered agency part of Brave Group, have announced their upcoming graduation, which will happen between 9/13 and 10/4.
- Rhubarb N. Kustard, Gen 2 "Solstia": September 13th, 2025.
- Kiri Kilovolt, Gen 2 "Solstia": September 20th, 2025.
- Vance Van Creed, Gen 2 "Equinnox": September 26th, 2025.
- Taring Hu, Gen 1: September 30th, 2025.
- Reina Ronronea, Gen 1: October 4th, 2025.
The company then shared their own announcement to confirm the news and dates.
After this, Globie would have crossed the mark of having more graduated talents than debuts, with 9 surviving members for 19 debuts.
- Gen 1 will be left with Kumanui Miel and Sarugaku Leon Jr. (2/7).
- Gen 2 "Equinnox" will be left with Komiyama Ambros, Vilhelm Vanderbos, and Hyouma Kohaku (3/4).
- Gen 2 "Solstia" will be left with Bonnie Barkswell and Alicja Da Lontano (2/4).
- And without changes, Gen 3 "Morveria" (previously "Hexokai") still has Maeve Morveren and Cera Luceria (2/4).
Being considerate, Vilhelm Vanderbos decided to move his birthday celebration from September 25th to October 11th. What a bro.
Also to note, Alicija Da Lontano is currently reducing her streaming times as she's moving from the UK back to Italy and will help her dad with work.
To focus more on Globie themselves, there's been a sudden announcement from Pastel Melon, who makes "Vsnack" charms with their talents, sharing that they're parting ways with Globie and will discontinue the production of the related merch after September 25th.
Well, now things look worrisome for the company. Not like we also learned that their parent company had a ¥2.156B JPY deficit during the past fiscal year (~$14.64M USD)…
Featured chuuba of the week
This week I'm suggesting you check out the mango lover, artist, and catgirl Myusagii.
I had the chance to quickly meet Myu at her booth in March 2024, where she was proud to remind me that she is the one who designed Haruka Karibu's VShojo model! (Not unprompted, I was buying some Haruka posters and stickers.) She also did the art of her chibi earlier this year.
She does a lot of art streams and can be quite the yapper with excellent chemistry during collabs. Myu's currently in her 5-year anniversary subathon, it says it ends today but that's what I saw 4 days ago too.
First artpiece I'm proud of after (almost) a year of illustration burnout 🥺🧡 pic.twitter.com/cQn81PDhLi

Closing words
And there we go, another week done. I recently saw that WACTOR continues to sue its former talents, doxxing them while doing so, but I'm not really in the mood to go dig that up right now. And they're apparently not done.
There's also two names that have recently been popping up as they're back again: Marie☆FD, who just posted a cover of "Free" (Kpop Demon Hunters) with Aruvn, and Fuzuki Miki (but she's unsure yet if she will stream again). Might be nice to keep an eye on them, hmm?
See ya next week!
